Winter means shorter days, longer nights, and the gloomiest season of the year. However, the darkest days are an opportunity to shine even brighter. Nike decided to light up the pitch with the Mercurial Cosmic Speed. They tasked us to bring it to life with two all-star athletes, an out-of-this-world product shoot, and a social plan that utilized a Behind the Design product video that highlighted the spectacular team behind the boots. It sold out and brought a game-changing innovation that the shoe world has never seen before.

It was easiest to get inspired by the product designers at Nike, a small team that drew cues from Mercurials past, present, and future.

We drew inspiration from prism lights, out-of-this-world scenes, and playing with light to create a moody atmosphere.
